"Legos" Birthday Card

I made this card for my grandson's 10th birthday.

I cut shapes from cardstock to resemble a Lego character, adhered it to green cardstock and added a $10 bill.

Congratulations Card

I'm loving the stencil trend! I used Hero Arts' Numbers Background stencil and Dreamweaver translucent embossing paste. This card is perfect for the accountant I made it for.

The banner, hearts and stars were stamped using Lawn Fawn's Blue Skies. I cut the banner from the matching die set. Since I wanted it longer than the die, I attached two together. The sentiment is from So Much to Say by Lawn Fawn. I used paper from the Viola collection by Memory Box for the banner and sentiment. I added some rhinestones, after coloring them with Spica lavender and melon pens.

Thanks in a Heart

This is my favorite way to use ribbon scraps! The heart was cut with a Nestabilities die, stamped and then both the panel and heart were embossed with Swiss Dots by ProvoCraft. I adhered purple and teal ribbon behind the heart and attached both the panel and the heart with dimensional tape.

Make a Wish Card

The white card base has a pale pink panel. It also started as white cardstock. I inked it using Spun Sugar distress ink. The cupcake and sentiment are from Avery Elle's Cupcakes and I colored the frosting with Primsacolor pencils and blended it with mineral spirits. The flower was stamped with a flower from the same set, and I added a small pearl brad to the center. The cupcake liner and rectangle panel are from the Head Over Heels collection by Lily Bee Design.

I stamped the same flower on the inside using Spun Sugar, then die cut it, and the sentiment is from Big Candles by Hero Arts.

I wanted to coordinate the envelope.

I don't usually spend a lot of time decorating the envelopes, and I quickly stamped the flower with Spun Sugar ink along the edge.

Salsa Card

A little variation on an old saying...

I stamped the ristra onto deep red cardstock with VersaMark and heat embossed with Desert Sunset embossing powder. The border was heat embossed with Desert Jewel. I embossed the sentiment with Ranger super fine detail black.

All three stamps and both powders are from Stamp A Mania (http://www.stampamania.com/). They specialize in Southwest images. I love their Desert Series of powders--they have a bit of sparkle and really add dimension to the project.

5th Birthday Card

This card is for my grandson's 5th birthday. I used Chipped Sapphire distress ink in my chevron stencil, then applied translucent embossing paste. I rolled up a 5 and tied a bow of cord. The candle flame was colored with Copic markers, a bit of Clear Wink of Stella brush pen and then Glossy Accents.

The embossing paste adds slight dimension and lots of shine.

I think he'll love it!

"hello" Spring card

Spring is here! I think the peach and pale turquoise make a great combination.

I stamped the background using VersaMark and Lawn Fawn's Belinda's Borders. The "hello" was cut with Avery Elle's hello die multiple times and glued together, including a black piece offset to create a shadow.

The butterfly is Pippi from Memory Box and it's adhered with dimensional tape.

Cupcake Birthday Card

It's no secret that I love coordinating dies and stamps. I used one of my favorites today, Cupcakes by Avery Elle. The sentiment is from Handwritten Notes.

I used some Stickles on the candles' flames and some clear Wink of Stella brush pen on the frosting. Other than that, it's all inks and dies.

The inside is from Cupcakes.

Tunnel Card

I made this 3" x 3" tunnel card -- thought it was a nice size to go on a gift.

I added a dark teal square to the white card base. The flower stamps are from Doodle Flowers from Inkadinkado. I used my Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits again for all the coloring.

The patterned paper is from Summer Days by Echo Park. The sentiment stamp is from Impression Obsession.

I love the surprise when you open the card!

"Love You" card

I don't use my Stickles very often, but I like how they add lots of sparkle to the back of acetate. I used Glam Pink, Candy Cane, Pink Taffeta, Cherry Ice, Mercury Glass, Star Dust and Lime Green. The stamp is from Posy Patch Swirls by Heartfelt Creations.

It's always tricky to adhere acetate. I used a corner punch, slid the acetate through and adhered the teal paper to the magenta. I think it turned out nicely!

Mother's Day Twisted Easel Card

I love how this card turned out! I started with a 4½"  x 9" piece of Twig by Bazzill. I used patterned papers from Memorabilia by Teresa Collins.

I die cut the Tall Chloe Stem from Memory Box on white cardstock and painted it with a mixture of water and Mint Perfect Pearls.

I used Nestabilities scalloped ovals and plain ovals to die cut the stand for the card. The sentiment is stamped with ColorBox Harbor ink and embossed with clear powder. I inked the edge of the patterned oval with the same ink.

It folds flat to about 4½" x 4¾".

Mother's Day Double Easel Card

A heart-shaped double easel card! I used Nestabilities scalloped and plain hearts, some Pearberry cardstock by Bazzill and some cardstock from the Voila collection from Memory Box.

I added a bow and a pearl to the top layer. The second layer has a small heart cut from Pearberry cardstock and colored with Violet Wink of Stella brush pen.

I added a pearl brad to the bottom layer so the smaller heart would stand up.

And it folds flat for mailing!

Mother's Day Triple Easel Card

The card base is a mint green by Bazzill, cut with scalloped circles by Nestabilities. The smaller circles are from Bo Bunny Primrose Collection. The butterfly is Isabella and Pippi by Memory Box and adhered with dimensional tape.

I added a 1/4" strip of acetate to the large circle for stability when it stands up.

I love that it folds flat for mailing. I made a 4" x 6" envelope since it's just a bit longer than a standard card.

A cute card that displays nicely!

Blue Skies are Ahead

The card base is white cardstock, and I cut a light blue panel the same height but slightly narrower. I used Lawn Fawn's Blue Skies stamps and dies for the balloon, banner and clouds. I notched a strip of white cardstock for the sentiment.

All the pieces were colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I added some glitter to the banner with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen. I colored the heart with red Spica pen.

Minnie Mouse Gift Box

I made this gift box for my great-niece's 1st birthday. She's having a Minnie Mouse-themed party.

A little thumb notch for easy opening...

...reveals Minnie Mouse, sparkly hearts and stars, mostly from eksuccess Disney Layered Accents. I die cut the 1s from a number die set and added glitter using the Dark Pink and Clear Wink of Stella brush pens.

And space for a small gift.

I had to make a coordinating polka dot envelope-box.

Super cute and fun!

Pink & Green Happy Birthday

I die cut Doodlebug Designs' Kite Strings cardstock using the "happy" from Memory Box. I adhered it at an angle to the bright pink card base. The "Birthday" stamp is from Wish Big Candles from Hero Arts. It was stamped with VersaColor Lime and heat embossed with clear powder.

Inside I adhered a strip of the Kite Strings paper, using a wider strip of the polka dot side and a narrow strip of the reverse.

I added candles from the Hero Arts set with VersaMark. It's watermark so it's easy to write over. I rounded the corners on the right.

Friends are Special Treasures

The bright blue card base provides a nice background for papers from We R Memory Keepers' Feelin' Groovy collection. The talk bubbles were made using Lawn Fawn's A Birdie Told Me stamps and dies. Each one was stamped, heat embossed and die cut. I added a few flower stamps from the set with VersaMark.

The sentiment is from Essential Messages by Hero Arts. Its bubble and bird were adhered with dimensional tape. A heart was also adhered to the round talk bubble with dimensional tape.

Keep it Simple

Today's card is quick and simple. Who doesn't like that?

I used light orange Core'dinations Whitewash and embossed with Persuasion Blooms by Couture Creations. I sanded the flowers and stems but not the birds.

I adhered the panel to light turquoise cardstock, added pearls to the flower centers and black pearls for the birds' eyes.

Combo Gift Card and Box

I wanted to make a small gift box, and I found this card and box combo. It's 3"x3".

I used some Bo Bunny paper I had in my stash. The teal paper is from Bazzill. I kept the decorating simple on this one--just some clear ink and sparkle embossing powder. Oh, and a little bit of clear Wink of Stella brush pen.

All the stamps are from Cupcakes by Hero Arts.

The drawer slides out and is perfect for a gift of jewelry or other small item. I knotted some ribbon for the drawer pull.

Dimensions from Tina Weller.

Masculine Birthday Card

The card base is a dark brown cardstock by Bazzill. I used Tim Holtz Pocket Watches embossing folder and colored it with Chipped Sapphire, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade distress inks. I added a pocketwatch die and distressed an orange brad for the center.

I also distressed some white cardstock for the sentiment using Tea Dye distress ink. The sentiment is from Cupcake Party by Simon Says Stamp.
