Watering Can and Flowers Sympathy Card

I was asked to make a sympathy card, and I decided to make it more colorful than I have previously done.

A very light blue cardstock was used for the card. I used a slightly darker blue for the 5¼ x 4" panel. I used Dreamweaver translucent Embossing Paste with a Heidi Swapp polka dot stencil. The paste dries clear and adds some tone-on-tone dimension.

The watering can and flowers is a stamp from Posy Patch Garden Delights by Heartfelt Creations. I colored the can, flowers and leaves with Prismacolor colored pencils and blended with Gamsol mineral spirits. I love this technique!

I stamped the sentiment on the same color cardstock I used for the card base. The sentiment is from Encouraging Words by Stampendous! I heat embossed with Ultra Fine Clear embossing powder from The Stamp Addict and added some silver ribbon.

Feel Better

This card is so delicate and sweet! I started with a white cardstock for the base. I cut a white panel, die cut the label shape and then embossed it with Swiss Dots by Provo Craft. I used a sponge dauber with Spun Sugar Distress Ink on the base and stamped the sentiment from So Much to Say by Lawn Fawn.

I die cut Long Stem Chloe by Memory Box on white cardstock three times and trimmed off the stems. I sponged one Chloe with Spun Sugar topped with a bit of Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I added some clear glitter with the Clear Wink of Stella brush pen. The second Chloe was colored using the Dark Pink Wink of Stella brush pen and the third with the Silver Wink of Stella Brush Pen. I used a large rhinestone to cover the area where they are joined in the center. I colored three rhinestones with a Sharpie and added them near the sentiment.

The picture doesn't do this card justice--it is so beautiful!

Chevron Stencil

I love how this card turned out! The bright lime green card base and matching rectangle panel highlight the chevron pattern and die cut.

I used three Distress Inks on this card--Bundled Sage, Crushed Olive and Forest Moss. I added Dreamweaver translucent embossing paste. It dries to a glossy finish and adds just a bit of dimension.

The Hello Script die by Memory Box is on black cardstock and some black and white baker's twine is wrapped around the panel and tied in a knot.

The yellow card base has a white panel which I embossed with Provo Crafts' birthday folder. I embossed the lower section on a separate piece of white paper and cut out the "Birthday" rectangle. It is adhered with dimensional tape.

The cake was made using the Cake Set die by Impression Obsession.

Gift Bag on a Card

Turquoise cardstock, a yellow layer and Dried Egg Noodles from the Chicken Noodle collection by Jillibean Soup make the card base. Turquoise, yellow and white squares make the "shopping bag." The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Square Sayings.

I stamped small hearts on tissue paper and added some cord for the handle.

The inside sentiment is from Essential Messages by Hero Arts.

Thank You Card

I used one of my favorites for the card base -- Twig by Bazzill. The panel is from the Primrose Collection  by Bo Bunny. I used the Agapanthus Thanks  stamps by Stampendous! and embossed with white embossing powder. I cut a banner from the same paper for the sentiment and adhered it with dimensional tape.

The inside sentiment is from the Essential Messages by Hero Arts.

A card that was made for going through the mail. No frills, yet I think it turned out nicely.

Congratulations on Pregnancy

I made this card for a sweet young couple who just learned they are expecting their second baby. The gender neutral card is made from a dark brown cardstock base. The white panel was embossed with Spots & Dots by Provo Craft. The giraffe is from the Baby Invite stamp set by Stampendous! It was colored with Copics (Y11, Y17, YR61) and adhered with dimensional tape. The sentiments are from the Life Stuff Sentiments set by Impression Obsession. I added two small gold brads and some yellow and white ribbon.

The inside sentiment was die cut using the coordinating Banners and Tails die from Impression Obsession.

Wish Big!!

The navy blue card base has a white panel. The candles and sentiment were stamped using VersaColor Lime ink and then heat embossed with clear powder. Both are from the Wish Big Candles stamp set by Hero Arts. I colored the four plain candles with Copic YG06 and the flames with Y15 and YR04. I added glitter to the flames with the clear Wink of Stella brush pen and then added a bit of Glossy Accents.

The inside was stamped from the same stamp set with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.

And I thought a lime green envelope would be fun to receive in the mail.

Printer's Tray for Craft Area

I used a 12"x12" Artist Printer's Tray by 7 Gypsies to make a gift for my sister's craft area. I used lots of different papers, dies and bling and incorporated some of her favorite things (purple, turquoise, dragonflies, seashells).

It has so much color and texture and a lot going on. I love it!

Puppy Love

My daughter's sweet dog, Trixie, was the inspiration for this Valentine. It doesn't open--you just sign the back.

The face and ears are hearts from Nestabilities, the nose and circles are punches and the eye is a die from Simon Says Stamp.

It measures approximately 3½" x 3½" at the widest points.

Idea by Bunches and Bits.

Pink & Lime Green

Green isn't my favorite color, but I love lime green! And I think it goes with everything. This card has a light pink card base, then a layer of lime green and more light pink. The hearts were cut with Simon Says Stamp dies, and the pink panel is adhered with dimensional tape. The patterned paper is from the Smitten collection by Authentique. The green and pink ribbon in my stash is perfect!

The inside sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Zing lime green embossing powder. The stamp is from Celebrate Everyday by Hero Arts.

Die Cut Border

The white cardstock base is distressed with Victorian Velvet distress ink. I cut the heart border with a die from Simon Says Stamp. The strip of paper on the outside and inside is from Smitten by Authentique. I used pink and red paper from the same collection with Nestabilities scalloped oval dies and adhered them with dimensional tape. The sentiment is from Square Sayings by Simon Says Stamp. The finishing touch is a little red tulle under the ovals.

The side view shows the die cut and the strip of paper on the inside.

You & Me

When I saw this Primrose Pink paper from the Pretty in Pink collection by Echo Park, I knew I needed it to make a card with the You & Me stamp set by Hero Arts. The card base is medium pink. The panel is very light pink with a white layer.

I colored some Prima flowers with Copic markers and added a bright yellow brad to the center.
The inside sentiment is from the Love Every Day set by Hero Arts.

I added the Lego look to the envelope flap using the Seeing Spots folder by Provo Craft.

Tiny Envelope with Hearts

This card is for my sweet granddaughter. I punched the envelope with a Marvy punch. I punched five tiny hearts, added some glitter with the clear Wink of Stella brush pen and then covered them with Glossy Accents. The stamp is from Hero Arts Love Every Day set.

Of course, every 7 year old needs to receive her Valentine in a pink envelope with red hearts. This was made from a paper pack by MAMBI.

Wild Hearts

My younger grandson loves dinosaurs, reptiles and wild animals. I die cut hearts using Nestabilities from the Zoology Collection by Bo Bunny. The stamp is from Love Every Day by Hero Arts.

I added a strip of washi tape to the envelope.

A Special Birthday Card

I make my sister a special birthday card every year. I love this card, and I have to say it's very easy (and fun!) to make. The card folds flat for mailing, although it is probably not standard postal size and may cost extra. I was lucky enough this year to spend her birthday with her, so I was able to hand deliver it.

When you open the card, three sides of the box fall down, revealing whatever you put in there. I have added balloons, a gift box, candles, hearts and a party hat. The back has a cupcake and a "happy birthday" talk bubble. There are also two "floating" hearts, which are secured to acetate.

I added a bow of turquoise and white polka dot ribbon.

This card was more time-consuming since I stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut each element. You could also use pre-made items.

Idea from Splitcoast Stampers.

Bag of Hearts

I die cut all the hearts using Simon Says Stamp dies and the Smitten paper collection by Authentique. I added Glossy Accents to the heart at the bottom of the bag. The bag is from Canvas Home Basics.

The inside sentiment is from Love Every Day by Hero Arts, and I added a few hearts.

The envelope flap was embossed with the Heart folder by Darice.
